RALEIGH – Campbell Law School’s Career & Professional Development Center is set to host its sixth-annual Campbell Law Career Night on Thursday, Nov. 9 at 5 p.m. Twenty-five employers and 25 practice areas will be represented by more than 30 attorneys at the event, which allows Campbell Law students to explore traditional areas of legal practice.
Nearly half of the attorneys scheduled to participate in Career Night earned their law degree from Campbell Law, including 2006 graduate and keynote speaker David Yoon. Currently serving as senior manager, legal counsel at SAS Institute, Yoon will speak to the importance of networking and provide genuine, practical advice.
“Career Night provides our students with the opportunity to learn about a variety of practice areas and employment options from professionals that are presently serving in those exact roles,” said Campbell Law Career Center & Professional Development Director Kala Taylor. “Our students look forward to this event every year because it’s extremely informative and allows them to network and market themselves. It’s extremely encouraging that more of our students continue to take part each year.”
Practicing professionals on-site for the event will represent a broad assortment of legal sectors, including corporate, criminal, environmental, family law, government, health law, immigration, intellectual property, labor and employment, defense and plaintiff litigation, real estate, and academia.
“We are appreciative of and thankful for the many alumni and legal professionals in our community that chose to spend part of their evening with our students,” said Taylor.
