RALEIGH — In April 2025, Campbell University Human Resources hosted its an annual Faculty/Staff Service Awards dinner that recognizes all full-time faculty and staff for their years of dedicated service to the University. Faculty and staff are recognized for every five years of continuous service (5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, etc.).
Five Campbell Law School faculty and staff members were recognized at the 2025 milestone dinner for their years of hard work and commitment: Sharon Sparks, Sha Hinds-Glick, Anne Powell, Johnny Chriscoe and Gregory Wallace.
30 Years
Professor of Law Johnny Chriscoe ’90 was honored for 30 years of his service to the law school. In addition to teaching torts, insurance law, trial and appellate advocacy and personal property, Chriscoe is a leader in law school curricular reform and the founder of Campbell Advantage, the law school’s unique first-year law student success program — a program he directs and regularly updates. He also has had a significant role in developing third-year bar success programs and most recently created the law school’s program for educating law students in professional identity formation. He has also served as Associate Dean for External Relations as well as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and helped coach trial teams. He is the three-time recipient of the Student Bar Association’s Professor of the Year Award as well as being a two-time recipient of the Dean’s Excellence in Teaching Award.
Professor of Law Gregory Wallace was honored for his 30 years of teaching at the law school. Wallace teaches constitutional law with an emphasis on religious freedom, the right to arms and free speech. Wallace provides frequent commentary on constitutional issues at conferences and symposia, as well as in news reports, media interviews, op-ed columns and online blogs. He has been interview by national and local news outlets including CNN, Spectrum News and the Wall Street Journal. He is a Fellow of the Firearms Research Center at the University of Wyoming. His writings have been published in several law reviews, including the Tennessee Law Review, Florida State Law Review and Penn State Law Review. He is also a past recipient of the Dean’s Award for Faculty Excellence in Research.
25 Years
Law Library Technical Assistant II Anne Powell was honored for her 25 years of service to Campbell Law with a custom clock. Her years of service and administrative support have allowed her to become a valued member of the law library’s team.
15 Years
Associate Dean of Student Affairs and Academic Success Sha Hinds-Glick was honored for her 15 years of service to the law school. While earning her JD from the University of Dayton School of Law where she graduated with honors, she served as both a staff writer and editor for the Law Review and worked with students as a teaching assistant in the academic support program. She joined Campbell Law after working at Dayton’s law school in the areas of academic support and the bar passage. Hinds-Glick provides individual counseling and academic guidance for Campbell Law students as well as administers group programs and seminars designed for academic enhancement to help ensure student success on the bar exam.
5 Years
Coordinator of External Relations and Events Sharon Sparks was recognized for her five years of service at the law school. A graduate of Appalachian State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Marketing, Sparks went on to earn an MBA from Wake Forest University. Sparks originally joined Campbell Law in March 2020 as a faculty administrative assistant before being promoted to her current role. Sparks works with the Alumni Association, the Campbell Law Connections mentorship program and coordinates internal/external events for the law school, among other duties.
