Campbell Law to hold annual reunion on Oct. 27

Law Reunion

RALEIGH – Campbell Law will honor its past, present and future with a daylong celebration on Friday, Oct. 27 with a CLE in the morning and a reunion celebration in the evening. All Campbell Law alums are invited and encouraged to attend both the CLE and evening reception. North Carolina’s First Lady Kristin Cooper, a 1982 Campbell Law alumnae, will serve as the keynote speaker at the evening celebration, while recently retired professor William “Woody” Woodruff will also be honored.

Members of the Campbell Law Alumni Association can attend all reunion events at no cost. Click on this link to join the alumni association online.

Registration for both the CLE and evening celebration is available via this link. Campbell Leaders Speak admission for non-alumni association members is $125 for all day and $75 for half-day, while evening reunion admission for non-alumni association members and guests is $50 per person.

“We are excited to celebrate our rich Campbell Law history with a full day of activities,” said Campbell Law Assistant Dean of External Relations Megan West Sherron. “The Campbell Law community has a wealth of leaders in the legal community, and we’re fortunate that so many of them always enjoy coming to campus to teach and share their expertise as a part of this beneficial CLE opportunity.”

Reunion events will begin 8 a.m. with Campbell Leaders Speak, a CLE taught by Campbell Law alums and administrators. The North Carolina State Bar has approved six hours of CLE credit for attendees, including five general hours and one substance abuse/mental health awareness hour. Topics include crowdfunding and SB 481, small town practice, recent changes in North Carolina’s courts, preserving the record on appeal, working with African courts, and stress management for professional worriers.

Following the CLE, the law school will hold its annual reunion at the nearby N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences at 121 West Jones Street in downtown Raleigh beginning at 6:30 p.m. The reunion is open to all Campbell Law classes.
