RALEIGH, N.C. – Campbell Law School Dean J. Rich Leonard presided over a brief ceremony as the law school raised the American flag on campus for the first time on Monday, March 31. Cadets from NC State University’s Army Reserve Officer’s Training Corps (ROTC) program assisted with the ceremony as the flag was raised on the recently added flagpole, which was donated by the Campbell Law class of 2013 in collaboration with the Military Law Student Association.
“This is a proud day for Campbell Law,” said Leonard. “We have a deep and lengthy connection to the armed services at this law school, and it’s an honor that we can now fly this flag and be reminded of their selfless service each day.
“I commend the Class of 2013 and our Military Law Student Association for making this wonderful addition to our campus a reality.”
