RALEIGH, N.C. – On March 23-25, the Old Kivett Advocacy Council hosted the 2011 Richard T. Bowser Intramural Client Counseling Competition at the Campbell Law School in Raleigh. During the competition, forty participants honed their interviewing and counseling skills with clients. More than 30 alumni, local attorneys, faculty members and former competition winners judged the competition.
“This event provides a great opportunity for our students to practice developing the critical skill sets of listening and counseling. These skills are critical in the actual practice of law,” said Dean Melissa Essary. “The participation of so many alumni, faculty and former participants reflect the importance of the event and how much it means to all involved.”
