Campbell Law Observer expands focus on professionalism, ethics in N.C.

RALEIGH, N.C. – The Campbell Law Observer [http://www.campbelllawobserver.com] (CLO) has expanded its dedication to discussing ethics and professionalism matters in North Carolina. Continuing its growth and evolution as a publication, the CLO will now provide timely updates on State Bar disciplinary and ethics matters in its new section, “The Law Governing Lawyers.”

Summaries of Disciplinary Orders will be published to the CLO website following their release from the State Bar. Each summary will include a brief description of the matter, links to related rules, and a PDF of the filed Order.

Summaries of and commentary on Proposed and Formal Ethics Opinions also will be published on a timely basis on the CLO website. These pieces will provide the North Carolina legal community with a forum for discussion of the ethical standards under which every legal professional operates. The CLO encourages guest commentary from attorneys and other members of the Bar for publication on the website.

“In an effort to highlight both our growth as a publication and Campbell Law School’s dedication to professionalism, we have launched a new section of our website,” said CLO Editor-in-Chief Adam Steele. “We hope this serves as a resource for lawyers, law students, and anyone interested in the practice of law in North Carolina.“

The CLO is a student-published online legal publication covering a broad array of interesting legal topics. The goal of the CLO is to provide reports, articles, and unique perspectives on current legal topics for the benefit of attorneys, legal scholars, students, and other interested members of the public. The CLO publishes articles multiple times per week, written by student staff members, Campbell Law faculty, and guest contributors.
