Campbell Law partners with NC State to offer CLE opportunities

RALEIGH, N.C. – Campbell Law School and NC State University’s Office of Professional Development have forged a partnership to offer continuing legal education courses (CLE). The courses, which will be taught at the law school by Campbell Law faculty, adjunct faculty and administrators, will be facilitated through NC State.

“Any number of professional fields require the talent within it to continue learning and growing,” said Campbell Law Dean J. Rich Leonard. “There’s a real need in the Raleigh area to offer programing to those individuals and professions, and our fantastic downtown location and faculty give us an opportunity to fill that void. We are excited to work alongside NC State in making these classes possible.”

The first such class, Advanced Interview & Investigation Techniques: Title IX, EEO, Threat Management and Hiring Optimization in Higher Education, will be held on Thursday, May. 19. The course will be taught by Campbell Law adjunct professor and QVerity partner and general counsel Peter Romary. Click here for a detailed description and registration information.

NC State’s Office of Professional Development oversees the event planning, integrated marketing, registration, financial management and reporting needs for each course.

“This partnership between Campbell Law School and NC State University is built upon each other’s strengths,” said NC State Continuing & Professional Education Director Chip Futrell. “Campbell Law has a wealth of faculty with unique legal experience. The Office of Professional Development at NC State has decades of experience providing conference management services. Our two universities already partner together in providing joint degrees and this opportunity will enable us to provide unique CLE courses to the legal community.“
