RALEIGH, North Carolina – Campbell Law Dean J. Rich Leonard has announced that Apex, N.C. based Think Title Insurance has pledged $25K to fully fund an endowed scholarship at the law school. The scholarship will be annually awarded to a student interested in working on real estate transactions and/or within the real property practice area.
“We were looking for an opportunity to participate in our industry in a way that is somewhat unique yet very compelling,” said Think Title Chief Operating Officer Mike Thompson. “We decided that we wanted to be part of the education and development of the next generation of real estate attorneys in North Carolina. With the help of Campbell Law School and the creation of an endowment scholarship we have the opportunity to give back in a significant way and confirm our long term commitment to the industry, the area and future generations of industry leaders.”
Crystal Blanton and Mike Thompson founded Think Title in 2007 with the merger of Sundown Title and AES Title Partners. A locally owned, leading-edge, statewide title insurance agency, Think Title provides value to clients in both the residential and commercial title insurance arenas. In addition, through their own continual education, they endeavor to provide support and training to their industry partners on the ever-changing real estate landscape. The company will celebrate its 10th year in 2017.
“We are grateful to Mike and Crystal at Think Title for stepping forward and offering to endow this scholarship,” said Leonard. “Many of our graduates pursue careers in real estate transactions and real property after passing the bar exam, and I can assure that this endowment will be put to good use.”
