RALEIGH, N.C. – Campbell Law School’s 2015 reunion festivities will be open to all classes, include a six-hour CLE opportunity, and serve to honor recently retired mainstay professor Dr. Stanley McQuade. The reunion weekend is scheduled for October 2-3.
Members of the Campbell Law Alumni Association can attend all reunion events at no cost. Click here to join the alumni association online.
“We are excited to expand our annual alumni reunion to include more signature events,” said Campbell Law Assistant Dean of External Relations Megan West. “The creation and rapid growth of our alumni association has enabled us to better engage with our graduates, including creating unique CLE opportunities and honoring one of the most beloved figures in the history of Campbell University.”
Reunion events will begin Friday, Oct. 2 at 8 a.m. with Campbell Judges Speak, a day-long CLE taught exclusively by judges that are Campbell Law graduates. The North Carolina State Bar has approved six hours of CLE credit for attendees, including five general hours and one ethics hour. Topics include drafting orders, family law issues, criminal bench trials and resentencing hearings, complex civil litigation, federal civil rule amendments, and a discussion on moral, ethical, and legal matters.
Register online for Campbell Judges Speak at this link. Admission for non-alumni association members is $125 for all day, and $75 for half-day.
Following the CLE, the law school will hold its annual reunion at the nearby City Club in downtown Raleigh at 6 p.m. The reunion is open to all Campbell Law classes and will honor Dr. McQuade, who retired following the 2015 spring semester and taught every graduating class to date. Register to attend the reunion here. Admission for non-alumni association members and guests is $50 per person.
On Saturday, Oct. 3 the law school will provide a continental breakfast and guided tours of the law school’s downtown Raleigh campus beginning at 9 a.m. The event is free to all alumni and guests, although registration is required at this link.
