RALEIGH — The Campbell Law Review has announced registration is now open for its 2025 Symposium, “Navigating New Boundaries: Agency Law’s Next Chapter in North Carolina,” set for Thursday, March 20, 2025.

The symposium, which will be held at Melrose Knitting Mill, 309 N. Dawson St. in downtown Raleigh, will bring together legal scholars, practitioners and policymakers to discuss the evolving landscape of administrative law at both the federal and state levels.

“Our distinguished panelists will explore recent developments and their impact on agencies, courts and regulated industries,” according to Campbell Law Review Vol. 47 Symposium Editor Sara Wilder Bryant ’25.

The event will include a social hour, a seated dinner, and in addition to an incredible panel of industry experts, a Q&A session.

The panel discussion will examine the evolving landscape of administrative law following the Supreme Court’s decision in Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo, focusing on its implications for North Carolina legal professionals who work closely with federal agencies. The conversation will then shift to the North Carolina Supreme Court case Mitchell v. The University of North Carolina Board of Governors, which is expected to address why the state grants deference to its agencies.

The Symposium offers two hours of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit for North Carolina attorneys from the North Carolina State Bar.

Space is limited, so complete the form  at this link by 5 p.m. on March 5, 2025.
