RALEIGH, N.C. – On October 7, 2011, Campbell Law School was the site for a reception following the annual Red Mass celebrated at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Raleigh. More than 200 members of the legal community participated in the mass.
“Red Mass dates back to the 13th century,” said Campbell Law Professor Kevin Lee, who also serves on the Red Mass planning committee.“This year’s theme was religious freedom and the importance of the legal profession in seeking authentic justice.”
The Most Reverend David M. O’Connell, C.M., Bishop of Trenton and past president of The Catholic University of America served as the Principal Celebrant and Homilist for the mass.
