Campbell Law School Unveils New Logo

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – The Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University has unveiled a new logo to identify and brand the school in conjunction with its move to downtown Raleigh in September 2009.

In developing a new logo, the aim was to create a distinctive and recognizable symbol that personifies the rich cultural history of Campbell Law School in a progressive setting. The mark embodies the Law School’s timeless tradition and strength in the form of a contemporary shield: a swooping “C” denotes Campbell University and the figure of Lady Justice denotes the University’s flagship professional school.

Lady Justice is distinctly blindfolded, representing the ideal that justice in our legal system should be meted out objectively, without fear or favor, regardless of one’s identity, power or weakness. The icon’s strength also supports the core mission of Campbell Law School: to produce servant leaders who are ethical, competent, professional, and seek to render justice for all.

“Reinforcing the principles of Campbell Law, we believe our new logo will become an identifiable symbol of what the Law School and our faculty, students and graduates represent,” said Dean Melissa Essary. “The contemporary look and feel will carry us through the transition to Raleigh and the years ahead.”
