RALEIGH – Campbell Law School will serve as a sponsor of the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA) Young Lawyers Division (YLD) ugly sweater holiday 5K on Saturday, Dec. 9. The race will be held a short trek away from campus at Dorothea Dix Park. The event serves as a fundraiser to support North Carolina Lawyers for Entrepreneurs Assistance Program (NC LEAP).
“Campbell Law School persists on a special mantra of serving others, and this is a special opportunity we found where we can help others, support local businesses, and engage faculty, staff and students in a rewarding activity outside of our traditional walls of the law school,” said Campbell Law Director of Development David Bohm.

Entrepreneurship plays an important role in revitalizing economically distressed communities throughout the state. NC LEAP’s goal is to provide sound legal advice necessary to ensure continued entrepreneurial success for individuals whose household income does not exceed 300 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. More than 3,500 clients have been served by NC LEAP since 2007.
