RALEIGH, N.C. – Gigi Gardner, a third year law student at Campbell Law School, has been awarded the North Carolina State Bar’s 2008 Student Pro Bono Service Award.
Instituted by the North Carolina State Bar, this award is meant to recognize the public service being rendered by law students.
Gardner was honored at the State Bar’s 50-Year Lawyers’ Luncheon, on Thursday, Oct. 23 at the Sheraton Capital Center Hotel in Raleigh. Campbell Law Dean, Melissa Essary, also attended the program.
“We are so proud of Gigi Gardner’s accomplishments and dedication to serving others,” said Essary. “She is a wonderful example of the spirit of service and advocacy for the underserved that exists among the student body at Campbell Law School.”
