Campbell Law student to open for Gretchen Wilson at Dogwood Fest

RALEIGH – Campbell Law third-year student Jamie Tate will open for country music star Gretchen Wilson at the 30th Anniversary Fayetteville Dogwood Festival in Fayetteville on April 27. 

Tate, who will play a 90-minute set, will be joined by the 82nd Airborne All-American Chorus during her performance of “I’ll Give My All.”

Two weeks later, Tate will graduate from Campbell Law as a member of the Class of 2012 on May 11.

“This is a great opportunity for me at a very special time in my life,” said Tate. “Earlier that wee,k I will take my final exam as a law student at Campbell Law School, and I am excited to have this opportunity to begin focusing on my career as a country music artist.”

Tate began performing country music around the time she enrolled at Campbell Law in 2009. She has spent the bulk of her free time as a law student in Nashville writing and recording as time permits.

Her current single, “I’ll Give My All,” has been downloaded more than 100,000 times. She has previously opened for Colt Ford, Josh Thompson and Alabama’s Jeff Cook.
