Campbell Law to host Judicial Election Forum for N.C. Supreme Court, Court of Appeals candidates

RALEIGH, N.C. – Campbell Law School will host a Judicial Election Forum for candidates of the Supreme Court of N.C. and the N.C. Court of Appeals elections on Thursday, Oct. 2. Area residents are invited to join the Campbell Law community for the forum, which is co-sponsored by the Campbell Law Republicans and Campbell Law Democrats.

“We extended invitations to candidates running for the Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court, and we are delighted that the majority will be joining us,” said Campbell Law Dean J. Rich Leonard. “Both of these courts are a stone’s throw away from our law school, so it just makes sense for us to host such important discussions and give our students and neighbors an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates.”

The Court of Appeals candidate forum will begin at 5 p.m. and will feature five candidates, including Judge Mark Davis, Judge Paul Holcombe, Judge Lucy Inman, Judge Bill Southern, and Judge Donna Stroud.

The Supreme Court candidate forum will begin at 6 p.m. with five candidates participating, including Justice Robin Hudson, Justice Robert Hunter, Jr., Judge Ola Lewis, Chief Justice Mark Martin, and Mike Robinson.

Paid parking is available at the City of Raleigh Municipal Parking Deck across from the law school on West Morgan Street.

Last Thursday, Sept. 25, Campbell Law hosted Wake County District Attorney’s office candidates for a similar debate.
