RALEIGH, N.C. – Campbell Law School and the University of Reading will now offer students the opportunity to earn an Advanced Certificate in International Advocacy & Negotiation. The partnership allows law school students to earn a widely-recognized international credential through courses taken exclusively at Campbell Law’s downtown Raleigh campus.
Campbell Law and the University of Reading’s relationship began this past January with the establishment of a collaborative partnership to award students an Advanced Certificate in International Business Law.
“We are excited to grow our relationship with the University of Reading and provide students with another opportunity to earn an impactful international credential,” said Campbell Law Dean J. Rich Leonard.
The Advanced Certificate in International Advocacy & Negotiation is open to law students and prior law school graduates of ABA accredited institutions. The program focuses on skills needed for practice as an ethical and highly effective advocate in adversarial settings including negotiation, alternative dispute resolution, and trials. To successfully earn the credential, students must have participated in an advocacy institute or have served on a competitive trial or appellate team. Students must also satisfactorily complete the following courses: Civil Procedure, Criminal Procedure, Professional Responsibility/Ethics, Evidence, Trial Advocacy, Pretrial Litigation, Mediation Advocacy or Client Counseling, Advanced Trial & Appellate Advocacy, Advanced Negotiation & Analysis, and International Arbitration & Litigation.
Campbell Law students are also eligible to pursue the Advanced Certificate in Transnational Law & Negotiation and the Executive Certificate in Negotiation offered by Campbell Business School and the University of Reading.
