Campbell named a Military Friendly School®

BUIES CREEK, North Carolina – Victory Media has designated Campbell University a 2017 Military Friendly® School in its annual list of universities that best help service members and their families pursue a civilian career.

Now in its eighth year, Victory Media determines the designation based on institution’s ability to meet thresholds for student retention, graduation, job placement, loan repayment, persistence and loan default rates for all students and, specifically, for student veterans. The company named 1,160 Military Friendly Schools® this year.

Campbell has been named to the list each year since 2010.

The university offers educational programs for military personnel and veterans on its main campus in Buies Creek, through its online programs, and on extended campuses at Camp Lejeune, Fort Bragg/Pope Air Force and the Research Triangle Park. These programs provide flexibility to military professionals who are deployed or stationed overseas and their spouses.

Each campus has a Veterans Affair certifying official who serves as a liaison between veteran students and the Department of Veterans Affairs. Several offices across the university also work together to assist military personnel and veterans, and a Student Veteran’s Club supports students with military ties.

Campbell is also a member of the Yellow Ribbon Program, which allows it to help fund tuition and fee expenses for veterans. Campbell also provides tuition assistance and scholarships to veterans and to active duty, National Guard and Reserve personnel.
