Campbell names new assistant to provost, university registrar

Chrisanne Rancati has been named the new assistant to the provost and university registrar for Campbell University, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost Dr. Michael Adams announced today. 

Rancati will begin her new role on June 2. 

An experienced higher education professional with 10-plus years in student records management, academic administration and compliance, Rancati most recently served as the registrar at Catawba College, where she led the Registrar’s Office and managed functions such as scheduling, registration, degree audits, academic records, course sharing, NCAA Compliance, graduation and more. 

During her time at Catawba College, Rancati successfully launched a new software platform to modernize the schedule creation process, which enhanced academic operations and optimized scheduling. She also developed a branded college catalog that not only serves as an accessible guide for the college but also functions as an effective recruitment tool for prospective students. 

The assistant provost and university registrar at Campbell works closely with the provost to provide leadership and coordination of academic projects and initiatives while providing oversight of the student registration process and all student records, including grades, rosters, transcripts, graduation clearance, athletic eligibility and enrollment reporting. The position serves as an internal consultant participating in the development, interpretation and implementation of academic policies.

Prior to her role at Catawba College, Rancati held the position of director of student records and information management at Carolinas College of Health Sciences, where she played a vital role in maintaining accreditation standards and managing student data systems. She also brings extensive experience in admissions, graduation planning and student support services.

Rancati holds a Master of Arts in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from William Paterson University. She is an active member of the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers and the Carolinas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers, amongst other professional organizations.
