BUIES CREEK — Thanks to the combined efforts of Cenergistic, a nationwide energy sustainability company, and Campbell University leadership, the university dropped its energy use by 12 percent from its 2017 levels.

“We are excited about how effectively Cenergistic has helped us lower our university’s carbon footprint,” said Campbell President Dr. J Bradley Creed. “We look forward to what more this program can achieve in the years to come.”

With the help of Cenergistic engineers and the Energy Specialist, Campbell has avoided carbon emissions equivalent to what 1,500 homes would emit over the course of a year. The current program is slated to run through 2022.
