Buies Creek, N.C. –Campbell University has announced it will partner with global communications provider T-Mobile to deliver telecommunications services to the Campbell community.”This is an exciting addition to the ever expanding Campbell University,” said Jim Roberts, vice president for Business and Treasurer at Campbell. “We now have another true partner in the wireless communications business.”Roberts said the telecommunications ring of antennas which is being installed on the Campbell water tower will also have the capacity to eventually add other carriers. The university water tower will serve as a transmission tower for the service.”We picked T-Mobile because they provided the whole package—advertising, discounting, service and signal,” Roberts said.The T-Mobile company is also funding a portion of the scoreboards at both the new John W. Pope Jr. Convocation Center and the Campbell football stadium. Students and staff will receive discounts on products and services from the company, Roberts added. “Of course, the signal will be much improved,” he said. T-Mobile international was the first and only operator to launch a uniform transatlantic network based on digital mobile communications standard GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications).
