Directed by Keith Hight, technical director at Campbell University, The Guys is a story of a firefighter who has been challenged with writing the eulogies of his fallen comrades. Faced with this difficult task, he asks a journalist to help him.”I like productions that make the audience think,” said Hight. “We need to stop and look at our lives. How do you want to be remembered? We need to be involved in life. When it is over you don’t get a second act.”Some of the firefighter props were donated by the Buies Creek Fire Department. On Nov. 17 they will be at the play having their boot drive for the Children’s Burn Center. Monetary donations will be accepted.Cast member Will Fleming invites everyone to come to the production.”The community should come out to see the play and hopefully they will understand the message to appreciate what you have,” he said. “Don’t take your family and friends for granted and ordinary people can do you great things.”
