Campbell reschedules presidential tour event in Wilmington for 2/18

BUIES CREEK, North Carolina – Due to weather and road conditions on the North Carolina coast, Campbell University has canceled its presidential tour event, “An Evening with J. Bradley Creed,” scheduled to be held Tuesday, Oct. 6, at the Cape Fear Country Club in Wilmington. The event has been rescheduled for Thursday, Feb. 18, and will be held at the Cape Fear Country Club, beginning at 7 p.m.

So far Campbell has held three presidential tour events, which give alumni and friends the opportunity to meet first-year President J. Bradley Creed. All three events have drawn capacity crowds of over 500 attendees.

Of those who have attended the events, based on survey results, 92 percent say the event met or exceeded their expectations, 100 percent report the event reflected well on the quality of Campbell as an institution, and 94 percent would recommend attending the event to others.

The events feature an exclusive video about Campbell; short speeches from Campbell students, alumni, and Creed; and a question-and-answer session with the president.

In all there will be 12 “An Evening with J. Bradley Creed” events held at nine locations in North Carolina, two locations in Virginia, and one location in San Diego, California, with potential locations to be added. The first event was held Sept. 15 in Dunn, North Carolina, with an audience of over 200.

Due to demand, a second event was added in Harnett County and will be held Thursday, Nov. 12, at the Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine, beginning at 7 p.m. The event is free, but pre-registration is required.
