BUIES CREEK, North Carolina – Campbell University will holds its spring Sexual Assault Awareness Week March 15-18 to raise awareness and educate the campus community on how to prevent sexual assault. One of the featured events will be a showing of the documentary “My Masculinity Helps” and an open discussion with co-filmmaker Dr. Marc A. Grimmett, an associate professor of counselor education at North Carolina State University.
During the week, the Counseling Services office will also hold several others events, as well as collect donated items for SAFE of Harnett County, a nonprofit that provides safety and advocacy for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Needed items include new sweat pants, socks, hairbrushes and combs, nail clippers, body wash, and thermometers, which can be dropped off in Room 112 in D. Rich, Room 123 at the medical school, Room 129 in Taylor Hall, the student lounge at the business school, and in the Science building.

Wednesday, March 16

Thursday, March 17
“My Masculinity Helps”

Watch the documentary film “My Masculinity Helps” with one of the filmmakers, Dr. Marc A. Grimmett, an associate professor of counselor education at North Carolina State University. Then join him in an open discussion and service project.

Sign the Pledge Banner
10 a.m.-3 p.m. | Academic Circle
Sign a pledge to help stop sexual assault and domestic violence. Also wear the color teal and jeans in support of SAAW.
