Approximately 426 degrees are expected to be conferred at three winter graduation exercises held at Campbell University. Graduate and professional degrees will be conferred on Friday, Dec. 15, at 6 p.m. Students will receive undergraduate degrees from the Lundy-Fetterman School of Business, the School of Education and the Divinity School at 10 a.m., on Saturday; and the College of Arts and Sciences will confer degrees on Saturday at 2 p.m. All services will be held in Turner Auditorium of the D. Rich Building.Civic and business leaders Edward Gore, Sr., Bob Barker and Dr. Henry Capps will deliver the commencement addresses.Bob Barker is chairman and CEO of the Bob Barker Company in Fuquay-Varina, N.C., leading supplier of institutional products and supplies to correctional facilities worldwide. Barker will speak on Friday evening to students receiving graduate degrees.Real estate developer and entrepreneur Edward M. Gore, Sr., will deliver the address on Saturday at 10 a.m. Gore is the owner of Sunset Beach and Twin Lakes Realty and a veteran of many years of public service in the Sunset Beach community.Dr. R. Henry Capps, Jr., a physician with Lakeside Family Physicians in Huntersville, N.C., will deliver the commencement address at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Capps also volunteers his time at the Lake Norman Free Clinic.Each speaker graduated from Campbell University and currently serves on a university board. Barker is a member of the Board of Trustees, Gore is a member of the Presidential Board of Advisors and Capps serves on the Alumni Board of Directors.
