Congratulations to the participants of the CU Business Plan Competition. This year was very difficult in selecting the winning team because the entries were very good.
Mike Broome, chief financial officer of Mutual Drug Company, said, “Please communicate to the students how impressed I was with the quality of the business cases. It is evident that they are building both analytical and financial skills set that will serve them well as they enter their professional careers.”
Since several business plans were equal in many ways, the deciding factor in the ranking came down to the location. Location included number of competing pharmacies in the area, number of potential patients in the market, estimated total market revenue and company deafferentation of products and services from competitors. The winning team will have the first option to represent CPHS in the national competition and alternate teams are second and third place winners.
