Campbell University department of Social Work reaccredited

The Campbell University Department of Social Work announced the program has been reaccredited for the next eight years. The program received confirmation from the Council of Social Work Education (CSWE). Dr. Dean Pierce, director of the Commission on Social Work Education recently told them the good news.”Accreditation is important because it makes your program legitimate,” said Dr. C.G. Kledaras, chair of the department of Social Work at Campbell. “Being accredited helps our students get jobs and get their Masters.”A lot of time was put into the accrediting process. There was an in depth self study document that measured eight standards about social work including the program’s mission and goals. The department was required to create a student handbook and field manual that dealt with topics such as admissions and termination. They also demonstrated how they would measure all of these objectives.”The program wishes to express its sincere appreciation for its success to the Campbell University administration, faculty, staff, students, field instructors, advisory board and community agencies,” said Kledaras.
