Buies Creek – Ministers and students in eastern North Carolina interested in graduate theological education can now apply for dual admission at Mount Olive College (MOC) and Campbell University Divinity School (CUDS) as a result of an agreement of understanding between the two institutions. On Friday, April 16 Dr. Philip P. Kerstetter, President of Mount Olive College and Dr. Jerry Wallace, President of Campbell University, signed an agreement that will allow MOC students to be simultaneously admitted to CUDS on a conditional basis that the students meet all CUDS admission requirements.
Students accepted into the program will be given “special status” with CUDS while completing bachelor degree requirements at Mount Olive College. MOC students will have access to educational opportunities sponsored by Campbell University Divinity School that could include continuing educational opportunities, Bible Lands Study Tours, faculty interactions, Chapel services, guest lectures, and other appropriate programs, and activities.
Additionally Mount Olive College students will receive admission counseling services to ensure they are on the right academic track towards pursing the master of Divinity degree, and they will be eligible for consideration for all available financial aid, including Campbell University institutional scholarships. The partnership will help make divinity education more accessible for current and prospective students, and ultimately increase the number of graduating theologians from Campbell University Divinity School.

The Campbell Divinity School was founded in 1996 with the mission to provide “Christ-Centered, Bible-Based and Ministry-Focused” theological education. The School offers five disciplines of study — the Master of Divinity, the Master of Arts in Christian Education, the Master of Divinity/Master of Business Administration, the Master of Divinity/Master of Arts in Community Counseling, and the Doctor of Ministry.
