Campbell University hosts Relay for Life

Booths were set up around the Academic Circle on April 9 for Campbell University’s annual student-led Relay For Life. The students raised over $17,000.00 and anticipate more donations to come in throughout the week. The money will go towards the Harnett County Relay For Life, which will be held on April 23-24, 2010 at Triton High School. Relay For Life is the signature overnight fundraising event of the American Cancer Society. Campbell’s Relay is a smaller version of the event. The theme this year was “Dr. Seuss.” The booths had food and games including a dunking booth, smores, funnel cakes, Henna tattoos and an opportunity to pie a professor in the face. The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences won the “most money raised award” and Amber Fryar, senior, won the individual “most money raised online award.” Front- Kristin Smith, junior, Natalie Martin, alumna, Krysta Bell, Junior. Back- Sandy Voelkel, alumna, and Becca McGrath, senior are part of the CAB team for Relay For Life.
