Buies Creek, N.C.-Campbell University ROTC Human Resource Technician Rosemarie Gore was named the 2009 ROTC top Human Resource Technician by the U.S. Army Cadet Command.
Cadet Command is the parent organization of the Army ROTC program and presents the annual “incentive” awards in recognition of the top performers from around the country.
“I was very surprised when I was notified by my professor of military science that I would be receiving this award,” said Gore. “I have always worked very hard to be the best Human Resource Technician I could possible be. I am truly honored and I thank God for his many blessings.”
Lt. Col. James Loffert, professor of Military Science at Campbell, nominated Gore for the award .
“Ms. Gore excels at executing all of her duties concerning cadet actions in the 230 plus member Cadet Battalion which stretches over 80 miles between Campbell and the partnering schools-Methodist University, Fayetteville State University and the University of North Carolina at Pembroke,” Loffert said. “She is the cornerstone of the Battalion and one of the premier Cadet Command Information Management Systems experts in the brigade.”
A native of Trenton, New Jersey, Gore graduated from Trenton High School and is in the process of earning a Bachelor of Science degree from Campbell University in December. During her 31-year career in Civil Service, she has received numerous honors, including the Commander’s Award for Civilian Service and the Achievement Medal for Civilian Service. She joined the Military Science Department on Campbell’s main campus in 1999. The Campbell Battalion consistently ranks in the top 15 percent of ROTC programs in the country.
