Campbell’s Presidential Search Committee to conduct campus listening tour

BUIES CREEK — Benjamin Thompson ’76, ’79 JD, chair of Campbell University’s Board of Trustees and Presidential Search Committee, will be on campus next week with fellow trustees and search committee members Dr. Leah Devlin and Fred Taylor ’64 to meet with faculty, staff and students.

The goal of these meetings will be to hear directly from each of these campus constituencies regarding their hopes and aspirations for the future of Campbell, the strategic priorities they hope the next president will pursue, and the qualities and characteristics that they would like to be associated with him or her.

The trustees will meet in small groups with faculty, staff and students who have been selected to be broadly representative of their constituencies. Invitations have been extended to individuals in every college and at every level of the university in order to include as many perspectives as possible.

The trustees will share the results of this listening tour with their fellow search committee members as a way of further informing the search for Campbell’s fifth president.

The search consultant assisting Campbell, Dr. Sue May of Storbeck/Pimentel & Associates, will also attend these meetings.
