Canned Immunity to benefit Food Bank of Central & Eastern N.C.

RALEIGH, N.C. – With the holiday season quickly approaching, Campbell Law’s Delta Theta Phi is taking action to provide food to those in need. During the week of Oct. 27, the law fraternity will hold its annual Canned Immunity food drive at the law school. All donations will be collected for the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina.

Campbell Law students can contribute in several ways. Throughout the week, many professors will offer students immunity from participating in the Socratic method if they bring an offering of canned goods to class. In other instances, several professors will offer extra review sessions as an incentive for students to bring offerings.

Donation boxes will be placed in each classroom and in the student commons at the law school.

This past April, Campbell Law collected more than 5,300 pounds of food during the 2014 North Carolina Feeding Frenzy in partnership with the North Carolina Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division and the North Carolina Feeding America Food Banks.
