Buies Creek–Internationally acclaimed guitarist Elliott Frank will perform in concert Thursday, March 20 at 8 p.m. in Scott Concert Hall of the Rogers Fine Arts Center. The concert is free and open to the public.Frank, who is applauded by critics and audiences for his unique blend of virtuosity, tone and national musicianship, has appeared as solo recitalist, chamber player and concerto soloist throughout the United States and Europe. He is a frequent guest performer and teacher at guitar festivals throughout the country and recently performed at the 2006 Guitar Foundation of America Festival and the Texas Music Festival in Houston. His first compact disc, “South American Guitar Music,” was recently released by ACA Digital Recordings.Frank’s program will feature composers Johann Sebastian Bach, Augustin Barrios, Andrew Zohn and Issac Albeniz.A winner of numerous national and international competitions, Frank was selected to develop the guitar studies program at East Carolina University, where he is currently teaching.
