Comm Studies holds inaugural Communication Day

The Campbell University’s Communication Studies Department held its inaugural Communication Day on Nov. 6. The event included two panels, featuring alumni and business professionals from the Triangle Area. The event also showcased the film, “Masquerade,” which was written, directed and produced by `06 alum Jeremiah McLamb.

“The whole idea behind the event was to give students an opportunity to hear from real-world leaders and professionals,” said senior Shelly Faircloth. In her independent study this semester, she planned the event, recruited sponsors and panelists, and executed the event.

“It was great to see our students taking advantage of the opportunity to establish contacts and meet communication professionals from the Raleigh area,” said Faircloth. “It was very encouraging and helped make the event successful.”
