CPHS Alumni Wins National Award

Campbell University 2016 Winter Commencement

Diane Prince, PharmD '08, Pharmacy Manager at the CVS Pharmacy in Murfreesboro, North Carolina, received a 2016 Paragon Award from CVS Health. The annual Paragon Award is the highest recognition in the company for colleagues in client, customer or patient facing roles.

A pharmacist for nearly nine years, Prince has been working at the Murfreesboro store since 2008. She is known for her caring and compassionate nature and knows her patients by name. When a local community pharmacy abruptly closed its doors, Prince played a key role in helping to make sure the impacted patients were able to get the medications they needed right away.

“Pharmacists are often the last person a patient sees before they take their medication. We not only dispense medications, but are also a trusted health care partner,” said Prince. “By making sure my patients get their medications when they need them, take their medications properly, and are aware of the possible side effects, I’m truly able to help them understand their condition and be as healthy as they can be.”

“Our customers in Murfreesboro depend on Diane for her caring support and expert advice,” said Rachel Moore Hupfeld, Pharm.D., MBA, Pharmacy Supervisor for CVS Pharmacy. “She not only delivers excellent customer service to her patients, but also serves as a proven leader for the store team. Diane truly demonstrates our company values each and every day.”

In addition to helping patients at the pharmacy counter, Prince has also taken her pharmacy skills and knowledge into local schools through CVS Health’s Pharmacists Teach program.

Congratulations Diane!
