Campbell University’s College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences welcomed prospective Doctor of Pharmacy, Doctor of Physical Therapy and Physician Assistant students and their guests to campus Saturday for Prospective Student Day.
The event offered a fun and informative look at life as a CPHS student through mini lectures, hands-on activities, program tours and conversations with current students and faculty. Guests also had opportunities to meet CPHS administrators, admissions team members and other prospective students who could become their future classmates.
CPHS Dean, Dr. Jeff Mercer, welcomed everyone and shared what makes the Campbell experience distinctive during the opening session.
Participants then separated into program-focused sessions designed to introduce them to the curriculum, learning environments and opportunities available within their areas of interest. Faculty members led presentations and activities that gave prospective students a closer look at the academic and clinical experiences they can expect at Campbell.
Doctor of Pharmacy participants learned more about the program and admissions process before visiting Maddox Hall for an interactive program experience. Prospective PA and Doctor of Physical Therapy students explored their respective programs through faculty-led activities and tours of Smith Hall.
Lunch gave prospective students and their guests additional time to speak informally with faculty members and connect with others considering Campbell.
By bringing together future students, families, faculty, staff and current students, Prospective Student Day provided an inside look at the supportive learning community within CPHS and helped participants imagine taking their next steps at Campbell.
