RALEIGH – The Campbell Public Interest Law Students Association (CPILSA) will hold its sixth annual silent auction fundraiser at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 5 at Vita Vite. All proceeds from the silent auction will support the group’s summer stipend program, which provides financial assistance to students working in unpaid public interest law internships.
Auction items will include jewelry, wine classes, books, a Kindle reader, Google Chromecast, student-specific items such as parking spaces, lunches with professors, and much more. Bidding will begin at 6 p.m. and close at 7:30 p.m.
“CPILSA’s silent auction provides a way for our students to explore public interest opportunities throughout the summer that they may not ordinarily be able to take advantage of,” said CPILSA President and third-year student Trey Cooke. “Proceeds raised from the silent auction allow us to provide stipends, which are in turn awarded to students who take on an unpaid summer internship.”
CPILSA is currently soliciting auction items and donations to assist in the effort. If you would like to provide an item or assist in any way, contact Cooke at fhcooke0723@email.campbell.edu or Melanie Huffines at m_huffines1111@email.campbell.edu.
A student led initiative, CPILSA was founded in 2010 and strives to guide Campbell Law students to rewarding careers in public interest law.
