Dail receives full scholarship to Campbell University

Tracy Ann Dail, of Snow Hill, N.C., has received the Gladys Baars Campbell Scholarship from Campbell University. As a Gladys Baars Campbell Scholarship recipient, Dail receives full tuition, room and board and $500 annually toward the purchase of books and supplies. The scholarship is valued at over $80,000.A senior at Greene Central High School in Snow Hill, Dail would like to become a pharmacist. “Pharmacy is something I have been considering as a major for a long time and I think Campbell University is the best place for me to go to accomplish this,” she said.As a senior project, Dail worked at Pitt Memorial Hospital and saw first-hand the responsibilities a pharmacist must assume.”They have to make sure the information is right before they print the prescription to be filled and distribute it to the patient,” Dail said. “If a dosage has been entered wrong, the pharmacist must catch the error and fix it. I know I’ll receive a good education at Campbell since it is one of the top pharmacy schools in North Carolina.”Dail is the daughter of Jimmy and Debra Dail of Snow Hill.
