Daniel Moses Named CUSOM Student DO of the Year

Daniel Moses, 2nd Year medical student, was named CUSOM’s Student DO of the Year.
The Student DO of the Year (SDOY) award honors and recognizes an osteopathic medical student who is committed to the principles of leadership, community service, dedication, and professionalism. Each school hosts their own individual selection process to choose a student who has made outstanding contributions to the osteopathic profession. Each school then sends their nomination to the Council of Osteopathic Student Government Presidents National Selection Committee, and Moses was the 2015 nominee from the medical school at Campbell.
“Dan Moses was nominated not only by his peers, but also by numerous staff and faculty at CUSOM,” said fellow MS-II Anna Brownstein. “Dan fights for what he believes in and values our medical education. He is extremely involved in a variety of school-related activities including the implementation of the student run free clinic and the family medicine club. Dan is a prime example of a medical student who cares about more than just personal academic achievement. He advocates for the future of healthcare and physicians on a national level; we are fortunate to have someone as passionate and driven as Dan in the inaugural class.”
