RALEIGH, N.C. – Campbell Law Dean J. Rich Leonard was awarded with an honorary membership into Delta Theta Phi by a resolution of the organization’s Supreme Senate on Saturday, Sept. 20. Retired Campbell Law professor and past Delta Theta Phi Chancellor Richard A. Lord administered the oath to Dean Leonard at the conclusion of the 2014 Richard A. Lord Annual Moot Court Competition at the law school.
“I am honored to join such a celebrated and honored organization,” said Leonard. “Delta Theta Phi has been an integral part of the law school experience for thousands of students, and I am glad to become a member at an institution that has played a significant role in the history of this organization.”
An international law fraternity, Delta Theta Phi has initiated more than 136,000 members across the country and in several other nations. Many fraternity members are distinguished persons in government, in business, in international affairs, on the judiciary, and in the general practice of law. Campbell Law currently serves as the home to the international headquarters of the fraternity.
