Dean Leonard hosts webinar on the basics of bankruptcy

RALEIGH, N.C. – Campbell Law Dean J. Rich Leonard hosted a webinar on the basics of bankruptcy for more than 700 attorneys on Tuesday, Aug. 27. The webinar was orchestrated by Legal Aid of North Carolina.

“This is an issue near and dear to my heart, having served for more than 20 years as a federal bankruptcy judge,” said Leonard. “I enjoyed the opportunity to provide some substantive insight to issues related to bankruptcy, especially considering that this particular audience does so much to assist the underserved throughout our state.”

The 90-minute long presentation, entitled “The Basics of Bankruptcy,” was aimed at assisting legal aid participants that occasionally deal with bankruptcy-related issues in their private practices. During the course of the webinar, Leonard provided in-depth explanations and explorations on both consumer and business bankruptcy issues, including petitions, eligibility, and federal and state exemptions.
