Dean Leonard to serve as panelist at Americas Law Deans’ Forum

RALEIGH, N.C. – Campbell Law Dean J. Rich Leonard will serve as a panelist at the International Association of Law Schools fifth Americas Law Deans’ Forum, March 9-12, in Ponce, Puerto Rico. The conference will be held at the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico School of Law.

“I am excited to serve on this panel alongside my esteemed colleagues,” said Leonard. “It’s a unique opportunity to draw on my experiences as both a judge and law school dean, and we will be addressing issues vital to our students.”

Leonard, a former federal judge for more than 30 years, will serve as one of three panelists for a forum discussing global legal education. Leonard and his fellow panelists will address the basic values necessary for a student educated in the law from a judicial perspective, as well as how legal educators imbue those values into their students.

Joining Leonard on the panel will be U.S. Court of Appeals Judge Diarmuid O’ Scannlain and The Honorable Liana Fiol Matta, the past Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico.
