Delta Theta Phi “Canned Immunity” Food Drive a Success

RALEIGH, N.C. – A mainstay in volunteerism and service at Campbell Law School, Delta Theta Phi’s “Canned Immunity” food drive last week was a tremendous success. In all, 842 pounds of canned food and approximately $850 in donations were collected. All donations will be directly given to the Urban Ministries of Wake County.

“We are fortunate to have a committed group of students, faculty, and staff that are very serious about the service aspect of the law” said Campbell Law Delta Theta Phi Master of Ritual and third-year student Anna McLeod. “This food drive provided an opportunity for the Campbell Law community to step up and show their commitment to serving our hungry neighbors, and we clearly got a great response.”

Delta Theta Phi holds its “Canned Immunity” food drive once per semester throughout the school year in an effort to help our neighbors in the community that are in need. Donation boxes are set up in classrooms throughout the building, and students that make a donation in their class receive “immunity” from being subject to the Socratic Method.

This marks the second consecutive “Canned Immunity” food drive that has resulted in more than 840 pounds of donated food.
