BUIES CREEK — The Department of Nursing at Campbell University welcomed potential students to campus Friday, June, 20 to get an inside look at the program and the profession as a whole.
The open house was the first in a series of informational sessions planned for students interested in the new Bachelor of Science in nursing degree.
Teaming up with the undergraduate Admissions office, the Department of Nursing provided an enormous amount of information about life at Campbell and what it means to be a nurse. Students and their families were informed of the numerous programs in place to ensure student success ranging from academic support to campus life. Campbell offers many academic services on main campus, including a tutoring and writing center that is available to all undergraduate students, mentoring programs, and personalized academic coaching when needed.
“One of the most important things I have learned during my time as a nurse is to stay connected,” said program director, Nancy Duffy, DNP. “The more connected you are, the more successful you will be, and the community here at Campbell does a remarkable job at keeping students connected.”
In addition to learning more about life at Campbell University, visitors at today’s open house were able to explore campus, mingle with faculty and staff of Campbell’s College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences, and spend one-on-one time with the director of nursing.
