Ayoyinka Aluko was among the 2017 Doctor of Pharmacy graduates on May 12 and was commissioned as a U.S. Navy Lieutenant on May 13.

“Getting my PharmD from Campbell is great accomplishment for me; and getting commissioned as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy is a double dose of honor,” said Dr. Aluko. “And in the midst of all my celebration, I remind myself that to whom much is given, much is expected. I look forward to making a difference!”

Dr. Paige Brown, vice-chair of Experiential Education and Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy, attended Dr. Aluko’s commissioning ceremony.

She said, “Dr. Aluko is a genuine hard worker and strives to do his best in all things. The comments provided by his colleagues and mentors alike further solidified his work ethic and dedication to his country, family, and profession. It was an honor to be invited to his commissioning ceremony and to celebrate such a memorable occasion with his family and colleagues.”

Congratulations Dr. Aluko!
