Dunn receives full scholarship to Campbell University

Buies Creek, N.C.-Hanna Scott Dunn, of Benson, N.C., has received a full scholarship to Campbell University. Campbell’s J. Hunter and Mabel C. Strickland Memorial Scholarship awards over $80,000 to worthy candidates seeking an undergraduate education.

Dunn, who will graduate from South Johnston High School in June 2009, plans to earn both an undergraduate and a master’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in trust and wealth management. Upon graduation, she plans to take the Certified Financial Planner Certification examination.

“With the United States economy currently in a state of recession, this major will be beneficial multiple ways. As a financial planner, I can work in a variety of atmospheres, including business, federal, state or local government, or for individuals and their families,” Dunn said.

Dunn chose Campbell University because of its Christian environment.

“This is really important to me as I have grown up in a Christian home and church,” she said. “The education I shall receive will not conflict with my values or views.”

Dunn maintains a 4.79 cumulative grade point average. She is the daughter of Robert and Kimberly Dunn of Benson.
