BUIES CREEK – Every member of the Lundy-Fetterman School of Business faculty and staff contributed to Campbell University’s 2019 “Giving with Purpose” Employee Giving Campaign. The 100 percent participation earned three staff members a day off, and helped launch awards from a new endowed scholarship fund.
Business School Dean Kevin O’Mara said: “We are very excited that three of our staff members were awarded a well-deserved day off due to the 100% giving participation. To have 100% participating for five of the last six years is truly remarkable, especially when compared to the 40% national average for colleges. And our only non-100% year was over 92%. It is a tribute to the dedication and commitment our faculty and staff have to our students and the mission of Campbell University, and we are grateful that their commitment is being recognized and rewarded by the administration through these days off.”
Thanks to the generosity of the Campbell Business School community, gifts during the 2014-2019 Employee Giving Campaigns quickly reached and then surpassed the $25,000 endowment threshold on the school’s pledge to “The School of Business Faculty and Staff Endowed Scholarship Fund.” Scholarship awards will begin in the 2019 fall semester.
