RALEIGH, N.C. – Campbell Law Dean J. Rich Leonard announced today that Everett Gaskins Hancock LLP has pledged to financially sponsor a mock trial team. The firm’s contribution will provide financial support for a group of Campbell Law students competing at the South Texas Mock Trial Challenge in Houston, Texas, April 13-17.
Campbell Law student advocates previously collected national championships at the South Texas Mock Trial Challenge in 2013 and 2015.
“We are very appreciative of the support from our friends at Everett Gaskins Hancock,” said Leonard. “This gift will allow our advocacy program to defend its title from last year, and strive to collect a third championship in four years.”
Hosted by South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas, the South Texas Mock Trial Challenge is one of the preeminent mock trial competitions in the country. As the largest invitational trial competition in America, the South Texas Mock Trial Challenge hosts teams from across the nation. Most competing schools opt to send their very best advocates, many of whom compete at other national competitions during the spring.
