Fayetteville minister honored at Campbell University

Buies Creek–The Rev. Clella Abington Lee, former president of the Council on Christian Higher Education for the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina (BSCNC), was named a Distinguished Alumna of Campbell University at the 2007 Homecoming event held Saturday, Oct. 20.A charter class member of the Campbell University Divinity School, Lee received a Master of Divinity with Christian Education in 1998 and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry at Campbell. She serves as pastor of Evangelism and Equipping at Lafayette Baptist Church in Fayetteville.After receiving her master’s degree, Lee became the first director of Admissions at the Campbell Divinity School and played an integral role in the school’s design of spiritual formation for every student. In 2004-2005, Lee served as president of the Council on Christian Higher Education for the BSCNC and was selected to be the 2007 keynote speaker for the national conference of the Woman’s Missionary Union in Missouri.”I was so warmly welcomed into the Campbell Divinity School,” said Lee. “I will always look back fondly on my experiences here. Campbell has been very gracious to me.”Lee and husband Dr. Brian Lee, senior pastor at Lafayette Baptist Church, are the parents of two sons, Clayton, a Campbell University graduate, and Austin.Photo Copy: Campbell University President Dr. Jerry M.
