Buies Creek, N.C.—Considered one of Campbell University’s first families, Lewis and Annabelle Fetterman served as grand marshals for the annual Homecoming Parade on Saturday, Nov. 1.
The Fettermans waved vigorously and smiled at the crowd from their convertible appearing relaxed and comfortable. Their relationship with Campbell began over 30 years ago when Mrs. Fetterman’s parents, Burrows T. and Mabel Lundy, established the Lundy Chair of Business. The Lundys were the owners of the Lundy Packing Company, one of the state’s largest pork processing plants. They established the Lundy Chair to support the free enterprise system and good business ethics in which they fervently believed.
As chairman and CEO of her father’s company, Annabelle and her husband Lewis Fetterman continued to support Campbell, through their support of the School of Business, gifts, scholarships and other university initiatives.
In 2000, Campbell’s Lundy-Fetterman School of Business building was dedicated in honor of the Burrows T. and Mabel L. Lundy and Lewis M. and Annabelle Fetterman families. The 76,000 square-foot facility features a 5,000 pound solid piece cupola, tiered and conventional classrooms, an auditorium, student lounge, library, computer center, museum, board room, faculty offices and seminar, work and break rooms.
